Pump Nozzle Unit Injector

The system combines the injection nozzle and the high pressure pump in a single assembly.

The nozzle can be of the hole type or pintle type. One such unit injector is fitted in the head of each engine cylinder. The plunger pump used is usually driven by a shared camshaft.
